This 1A Motor Driver Shield for Arduino features the popular L293 motor driver chip.
This basic motor driver shield uses the L293 motor driver to control two 7-12V DC motors with a maximum current of 1 amp. Speed is controlled using the Arduino's PWM output from digital pins 5 and 6 and direction is controlled using digital output pins 4 and 7.
This motor driver uses the Arduino input power source to drive the motors. Onboard LEDs provide feedback to assist with diagnostics. Motors are attached using screw terminals.
