The Pololu L3GD20H 3D Gyroscope Module provides a three axis gyro for measuring angular rates of roll, pitch and yaw.
Advanced walking robots and flying drones need to be able to keep themselves straight and balanced. A gyroscope provides the ability to determine an objects rotation in 3D space. This feature enables your robot to compensate for any tilt to help maintain balance.
The L3GD20H is a triple axis gyroscope that measures the amount of rotation around all three of its axes. Angular rates of roll (X), pitch (Y) and yaw (Z) are measured. The resolution of measurement can be configured from a selection of degrees per second: +/- 245, 500 or 2000 degrees per second.
This module provides both SPI and I2C interfaces to the L3G320H gyroscope chip. It has a 3.3V linear voltage regulator and built in level shifters to enable SPI and I2C operation with 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers.
The L3GD20H 3D Gyroscope Module comes with a set of two optional male header pins that require soldering.
